Chalet Marie Stuart is a traditional Savoyard chalet which was completely refurbished and opened for Winter 2004. It is privately owned and operated by a professional chef, so you can be sure of a warm welcome and good food with every effort being put into making your holiday a wonderful experience. Outside the winter ski season you can also rent the whole chalet on a self catered basis (min 1 week).The chalet is situated in Le Petit Saix, a hamlet just outside the beautiful, historic French village of Samoëns, which gives direct access to 260kms of pistes and five ski resorts, known collectively as Le Grand Massif. The chalet is breathtakingly sited overlooking a small stream, grassy field and woodland, and in the distance has an impressive mountain backdrop.
The Chalet is built on three levels and comprises:
Salon. This warm, comfy and spacious sitting/dining room has an impressive log burning fire. Here you can relax with an aperitif and canapés before enjoying a gourmet dinner, and whiling away the rest of the evening in the company of your fellow guests.
Balcony.
French windows lead on to a generous balcony stretching round most of the building and from here you can enjoy magnificent views of the Giffre Valley and surrounding mountains. In summer, you can eat out on the balcony and watch the sun go down while enjoying a relaxing drink.
Sitting room. A smaller separate sitting room can be used for reading, cards, watching a video or just relaxing.
Bedrooms. The six ensuite bedrooms (7 for summer self catering) are equipped with king-size beds, five of which can be used as twin beds. Additional beds or a cot can be supplied for young children who wish to share their parents' room.
Games and exercise room. This is on the ground floor and is an ideal place for you to get fit or for your children to play.
Books, games, CDs and videos are all available for you to use throughout your holiday.Wi-FI access is available
Sauna suite. This is equipped with a shower and WC and offers a great chance to refresh and relax.
Ski and board storage and a heated boot warmer are available on the ground floor.
Grounds. The chalet stands in its own grounds with ample parking and an attractive garden leading to a mountain stream. In the summer you can enjoy the sun and swim in the pool, and in winter even build a snowman!

Location
Chalet Marie Stuart is beautifully sited at Le Petit Saix, a small hamlet about 1 km from the charming, French village of Samoëns. It is positioned between the two main ski lifts out of the village.
The Grand Massif Express Telecabine, giving direct access to Samoëns 1600, is just 800 metres down hill. Alternatively, the Vercland chair lift will deliver you to the same point, and is also 800 metres from the Chalet.
Both lifts can be reached by a free ski bus which stops within easy walking distance from Chalet Marie Stuart. Samoëns 1600 gives direct access to Flaine, Morillon, and Sixt Fer à Cheval, the new Chariande Express lift to Tete de Saix having greatly speeded up access. The resort of Les Carroz is reached from Morillon and Flaine. This connected area is known as Le Grand Massif and boasts 260kms of pistes.
